The Mayor's Thames Festival is London's largest outdoor arts festival. Free for all to attend and a great way for Londoners to meet people from their local communities.
The Thames Festival celebrates London and the iconic river at its heart –the Thames– by dancing in the streets, feasting on bridges, racing on the river and playing at the water’s edge.

For every Festival Friend, Thames Festival Trust receives an additional £15 in match funding from Arts Council England, meaning that your support is doubly valuable to us.

Location
- BY TUBE: For the area on the South Bank the nearest tubes are Waterloo and Embankment (Disabled access), For the area by the Tate the nearest tube is Southwark and Blackfriars, For the area by Southwark Bridge the nearest tubes are Canon Street and Borough, For the area by Tower Bridge and The Scoop at More London, nearest tubes are London Bridge (Disabled access) and Tower Hill.
- BY BUS: There are many bus stops in the local vicinity, including the RV1 which runs along the Festival site. For more information about travelling via bus from your local area, check out TFL online.
- BY BIKE: Plan your route on the Transport for London website. The Barclays cycle hire scheme is also available with many docking stations along the festival site.
- BY THE RIVER: Use the scheduled river services which depart from the following piers: Waterloo, Embankment, Festival, Bankside, London Bridge City & Tower.

London’s most inspiring and spectacular food event, Feast on the Bridge will be returning for a fifth fantastic year. As the main theme for 2011 is fish, so look out for the Forgotten Fish Restaurant.
