Set in downtown Nashville, also known as the 'music city', this festival is a showcase of the good and the great of American rock and blues- the Americana sound. The venues are scattered around the heart of the city, letting festival-goers enter some of the most iconic locations in the history of American live music. During the day there will be a series of conferences and panels, as well as an award ceremony.
The 2013 line-up will feature Billy Bragg, Rosanne Cash, The Devil Makes Three, and The Infamous Stringdusters
Stages and other entertainment
All the venues are located in downtown Nashville, in the vicinity of the Sheraton Nashville Hotel. Some are large outdoor stages, others are set indoors, in bars and ballrooms.
During the day there are conferences and panels with artists and industry insiders, those attending the conference are entitled to view the music award ceremony.
Those registered with the Americana Music Association receive a discount. It is possible to register on the Association website.
Some of the venues have a strict 18+ policy (The Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, The High Watt and The Basement), others allow children accompanied by parents, it is advisable to check with the venue.
Non-members who wish to attend the conference and award ceremony pay, as well as the music venues pay $450.
Members pay $350.
It is also possible to purchase wristbands that entitle the wearer to just attend the stage, the price is still to be announced.
