I've heard rumours of people getting their drinks spiked at Glastonbury. Is this something I should be careful about? Have you heard of this happening at other festivals?

I think the best think you can do is to never leave your drinks unattended. You just have to be responsible and understand that some people are going to try to get rowdy at these festivals.

Like dannyboy stated, the best thing for you to do is if you have a drink, never leave it and then come back to it. If you have friends there who you trust, leaving your drink with them is always an option as well.

You should definitely be careful about this no matter what festival you go to. Do some research on tips when it comes to what to look out for, and take normal safety perceptions like never leave your drink, and always pay attention to your surroundings. There are ways to avoid these dangers appropriately and effectively. Don't let it ruin your good time!

This happens not just in Glastonbury but pretty much all festivals and events that have lots of people drinking, I think it just happens more often in events for younger people. My advice is don't accept drinks from strangers and don't leave your drinks unattended. It's best to keep vigilant and to say in groups when going to festivals.

I was just reading about a new cup that's in the works, by some company called DrinkSaavy. Supposedly it can detect if there are dangerous chemicals such as roofies in your drinks. The cups come in either glass or plastic. I'm not sure how well they will keep up with all the "designer chemicals" out there though, so they could be a false sense of security.
