The ultimate combination of sun, sea, and drum and bass. The festival takes place in the sea-side town of San Teodoro, in the island of Sardegna. Even by Italian standards the Sardinian water and beaches are incredible, and many of Italy's VIP vacation there (Silvio Berlusconi has a villa there). The event, strictly speaking, isn't a festival, there is no camping or stages, rather there are various musical events that take place throughout the town, in stylish open air clubs, usually next to or near the beach. One of the venues, Bal Harbour, has a swimming pool, so that you can cool off after partying hard. There are also parties on the beach organised by the people running the event.
The organisers deliberately limit the amount of tickets to keep it an intimate affair. Unlike other EDM festivals, this one is geared specifically toward drum and bass aficionados, so in a way it is quite niche, with a lot of people returning year after year. Its location, on the beautiful Sardinian coast, adds to the special atmosphere.
The 2013 line up hasn't been announced yet. The 2013 line up included Goldie, Logistics, and A Guy Called Gerald.
Tickets can be bought online from the official website. They have sold out for 2013.
Although it's in September, you can expect temperatures to be in the mid-20s. Bring a bathing suit, a towel, and sun screen!
The town is 20 kilometers away from the airport in Olbia. From the airport you can take a bus to check-in and get your festival wristband. There are ferries that go from mainland Italy to Olbia.
