Facts and conception
With chilli festival held all over the UK, attracting many visitors, organisers aim for this event to put the north east on the UK chilli map. The other ethos of the event is to celebrate the great handmade food made by small producers in the UK, as well as provide an opportunity for people to expand their tastebud horizon.
The National Trust also sees it as a perfect way to attract new visitors to the charming Seaton Delaval Hall which is almost 300 years old.
