Homebake Music Festival is a music, comedy and film festival boasting a mostly all-Australian (and occasional New Zealand) line-up held at the Domain in Sydney every year as of 2000. The festival's first event was held on 4 January 1996 at Belongil Fields in Byron Bay, on the far north coast of New South Wales and swapped location several times, settling on Australia's East Coast and has been held in Sydney every year since 2000.
2012's line-up featured performances from Blondie, Tim Minchin and Kimbra.
Homebake celebrates Australian music first and foremost, so attracts a specific kind of niche. That said, tickets always sell out very fast, so the crowd is said to be excitable and energetic, suggesting it may not be the best atmosphere for younger music fans.
History & Facts
