Beacons Festival

Beacons Festival is a cutting edge music and arts festival, which takes place in the picturesque setting of Funkirk Estate, Skipton, Yorkshire Dales, UK Formally known as The Moor Music Festival, 2011 saw the festival find a new site and a new name.

Lineup

2013: Django Django, Local Natives, Solange, David Rodigan, Oneman, Dutch Uncles and many more.

Vibe

Affordable, independent and surrounded by green and fresh mountainous hills, Beacons Festival combines local talent with popular national acts.

This is viewed as the perfect festival for the indecisive or eclectic music fan, with the event covering everything from electro to folk. Whilst covering every genre, the festival considers it's main genres to be Deep/Soulful House, House, Indie, Jazz, Rock, Tech House.

The festival is capped at a capacity of 2,500, which is much appreciated as many describe the festival as having a "lovely large garden party feel".

Stages and other entertainment

Aside from the music stages, there are also endless amounts of workshops, an exclusive cinema programme, and children's entertainment from the Ladybird Project, as well as spoken word, theatre and dance.

Tickets

Early bird costs £64.50 and is available until 7th January, with free parking offered to the first 100 purchases. There is also a deposit scheme where you can pay £30.00 now, with the rest due before 7th March. Available via Skiddle

VIP

There is no VIP at this event.

Children

There is also a special family camping area with special attractions for the little ones.

  • All visitors under 18 must be accompanied to Beacons 2013 by a responsible parent/guardian over the age of 25. A maximum ratio of 1 adult to 4 under 18’s is allowed.
  • Children aged 12 and under can come to Beacons 2013 for free with a parent/guardian who has bought a ticket.

The festival currently doesn't offer viewing platforms for the disabled yet..

The festival takes place at Funkirk Estate, Heslaker Farm, Skipton, BD23 3AB

Travel

BY CAR: The postcode BD23 3AB will take you to Heslaker Lane, where the festival will be signposted from there.

BY TRAIN: If you’re from or can get to Leeds or Bradford then simply hop on the regular service along the Airedale Line or the Settle-Carlisle line to get to Skipton.

Accommodation (Non-Camping)

There are local hotel package deals on sale at our partners website Festicket. Both include 2 pints of Real Local Ale from the adorable Beacons & Woolly Sheep Hotel you will be staying at!
