Altitude Festival is a 6 day comedy festival held in Mayrhofen, Austria. Featuring a range of comedians from household names to those with a cult following, The event is curated by Irish stand-up comedian Andrew Maxwell, the festival provides an experience that provides laughter and skiing.

Curated by Andrew Maxwell, the Irish comedy powerhouse year on year gathers a second-to-none line-up of top comics from his fabled little black book, who will be hitting the slopes all day and providing the laughs all night.

One of Europe’s most beautiful ski resorts, Mayrhofen boasts excellent restaurants, luxurious hotels enticing spas and offers access to the entire Zillertal super ski area with 639km of piste and 167 lifts and gondolas, making it the perfect location for one of the world’s top five international comedy festivals. Aside from the festival, it is also worth checking out the local Mayrhofen night club, which is made entirely from snow.

There is also the option to rent Ski and Snowboarding equipment, as well as pay for lift passes and lessons.

The resort is in Mayrhofen town, within the Zillertal (Ziller River Valley) of Tyrol, Austria.

Surrounded by alpine peaks, plateaus, pine forest and traditional wooden barns, Mayrhofen town is also home to Austria's steepest piste.

Travel

If coming from UK, there are coach packages available as add ons or included depending on what package you choose.

By Plane/ By Train: The closest airports are Innsbruck Airport, Salzburg Airport and Munich Airport

The festival does provide transfer shuttle services from all three of those festivals, and it's advisable to add that transfer to your Altitude package when you book it.

Alternatively you can catch the train to Mayrhofen from Munich and Salzburg.

By Car: Depending on where you are travelling from this could be the easiest or hardest trip depending on your location. It's best to check the Mayrhofen Tourist Site for your car journey needs.
